How to Make Blackberry Popsicles ~ A Step by Step Guide with Pictures

Two weekends ago, Arabella and I made Blackberry Popsicles. I found the recipe here, and it looked too yummy to pass up! We made them just before going hiking and then got to enjoy them when we got back. It's a simple and fun recipe to make with little ones, and Arabella had a great time helping!

Step 1: Take one basket (about 1.5 cups) of fresh blackberries and put them in a large bowl (the bigger the better for little stirrers)

Step 2: Add 1 teaspoon of sugar

Step 3: Squeeze in the juice of one lemon (Below, Arabella is rolling the lemon on the counter to release juices)

Step 5: Mix those ingredients together while mashing blackberries. You want to mash them well enough to release most of their juices, but while still leaving some chunks for texture.

Step 6: Taste a blackberry, because they are sooo yummy!

Step 7: Sneak another one when mommy isn't looking.

Step 8: Pour in one can condensed milk.

Step 9: Mix it all around!

Step 10: Pour popsicle mixture into popsicle containers of choice. I got these ones at the grocery store.

Step 11: Put them in the freezer and wait until frozen. Ours took about 5 hours, but our freezer was on low.

Step 12: Enjoy!!!

My thoughts: These were delicious! I probably won't add the teaspoon of sugar next time because they were really sweet. Or I may keep the sugar and use half a can of condensed milk and the other half plain yogurt. But Arabella had no complaints!

Bon Appetit!
